Sea mines were the world’s first autonomous, unmanned weapon – the first military robots. Defending against the sea mine has always been giving impact for new research in effort to develop some effective sea mine countermeasures. Extremely dangerous, effective and lethal, whilst being easy to use even by a country with very limited or undeveloped naval warfare capability – sea mines are extremely difficult to detect and counter, even with the high tech contemporary mine countermeasures systems available up to date.
